- Type
- Cotswold fleece
- Reason for choice of this sample
- This fleece is long and strong, too coarse for a fine yarn and too long for woolen. Cotswold is a fiber sheep with a long, lustrous fleece.

- Suggested uses
- Weft for dense fabrics, such as for table mats. It can be used as warp if it is sized to protect the low twist surface. Use with a matching matte finish weft for subtle patterns. This yarn is heavy and better suited to decorating fabrics than garments. A plied yarn can be used for deep pile rugs. The stiff fiber resists twisting and the yarn will barely hold a knot, but once woven the rug will be thick and plush.

This yarn came out exactly as it should, although it's a pretty large yarn for me and I didn't like spinning it. The long, stiff fibers don't like to behave, so I gave up on combing. I still have some of this fiber left but I have no idea what I might do with it.
