- Fiber
- Wool
- Type
- Suffolk fleece
- Reason for choice of this sample
- This fiber drafts easily from carded batts. The medium fiber makes a good, sturdy yarn that wears well.

- Suggested uses
- This yarn is designed for uppers for slippers, in a dense stitch like single crochet. It can also be used for other durable crochet garments like vests and jackets, or as blanket weft. With more twist than a pure woolen yarn, it is less lofty but stronger and easier to launder. The Suffolk fleece is less prone to felt than most wools.

Examiner 2 commented that the size of the yarn was inconsistent and there was VM remaining in the skein. The original fiber was not exactly nice and clean. I took a close look at the skein and found one bit of something, but the other stuff was all kemp. I did attempt to get all the VM out but I was not terribly worried about the kemp.
