- Fiber
- Wool
- Type
- Suffolk fleece
- Reason for choice of this sample
- This fleece was in good condition for a non-fiber animal, a flock from a local demonstration farm park. It is springy and the staple length is not too long for a woolen yarn. Suffolk is a meat sheep with a medium, lofty fleece.

- This yarn is designed to be thick blanket weft. It will tend to stay lofty because Suffolk wool does not felt well. It can also be used for crochet blankets and sweaters, or knit in a pattern suitable for single ply yarns.

Both commented on inconsistancies in the yarn, but even slight differences are more obvious in a thicker yarn without extra twist to compact the fibers. I tried to get as soft and low twist as possible for this one.
