This could have been so good. It was supposed to be 16 ply, and the sample was nice. (I have the picture around here someplace, I'll find it later.) Well, it would have been good, except I didn't have enough matching fiber to spin five times the required amount to cover slop from winding all those plying quills. My scale just isn't up to measuring three grams of yarn. And after all that sorting and dehairing, too.
I don't know if I can salvage the single, because the remaining llama fiber I have isn't so nice. I'm going to try spinning it anyway and see what I can do with it, because I need a down fiber and I don't feel like buying yet another bag of something. Although I've been promised more llama, from a family source. If it's any good, I'll use that.
